Inventive, daring, and an absolute riot. Everything a Fringe show should be! I wish I had seen it earlier so I could recommend it to everyone.... full review

Caroline's commitment to the character and her projections onto her love interest (a mannequin) offered a humourous insight about finding love in LA that conveyed a feeling very real.... full review

This show is a must see. She has one more show on the 25th at 11:00.a.m. You should go! This is another winner of a show. Ms. O'Meara does not disappoint as we follow her through her mundane life of working in a sex phone call center where, "full ejaculation is guaranteed or your money back." She doesn't feel any connection to anyone in her life and it looks like she's about to throw herself into the ocean, she's being devoured by maggots anyway, when she spies a mannequin who is obviously trying to drown himself. She rescues the mannequin and falls in love with the inanimate object. It's ridiculous and it's perfect. The silent movie filmic aspects all propel this hilarious story forward. The silent movie placards delivering unanticipated p... full review

The show is a brilliant tour de force. Ms O'Meara has created a one-woman show about an exploited, alienated phone sex worker's short but passionate affair with a mannequin that she rescues from the sea. The piece is touching and funny, full of wit and surprise.... full review

A MASTERPIECE. If you haven't seen this show yet, you may think I'm exaggerating. But if you have, chances are you agree that Caroline O'Meara is brilliant. This show is hilarious and poignant, tough and sweet. From the character development to the costumes and multimedia experience, I was riveted for the entire 40 minutes. Caroline is a powerhouse - her writing is quick, witty and very relevant. She improvised a few times during the show we attended. A couple of people came in late and were self conscious and hesitating to take a seat and she stayed in character interacting with them and made them feel welcome & comfortable. We saw the show on Father's Day and she incorporated the holiday into the show. Caroline is a very gifted ar... full review

I had no idea what to expect. I thought the poster was gorgeous so I was curious. There were so many special touches and details which made the play spill into real life from the minute you purchase your ticket. I won't give spoilers because you absolutely must go! Caroline O'Meara not only acted in this one woman show but she wrote and directed it and is brilliant in every aspect. She made us laugh and kept the audience engaged with each unique moment. It was everything a theater experience should be.... full review

Heartwarming, sweet and absolutely hilarious. It's so brilliant to go to an original stage show and be entertained from curtains up to 80's power-jamming curtains down. Calling In Love channels Lars & The Real Girl and Wes Anderson, in all the quirky, fun and heartfelt ways with Helga (Caroline O'Meara), fantastic as the idiosyncratic, but loveable heroine we ALL laugh with and can't help but root for. Even her "co-star" Harold the Mannequin gradually transcends his fibreglass body, metamorphosizing before us into a living, breathing presence that tugs at all those desires to put our chips down into believing in love. I was charmed, I was delighted, I was SO glad I left the house and got to experience a show like this in person.... full review
