So much fun! The music was catchy, the performances were great, and the tone hit that family-friendly sweet spot between wholesome and weird. A great Fringe show!... full review

That we were giddy and grinning throughout had nothing to do with the adult content and everything to do with Elena’s commanding, compassionate, goddess presence. A must see for everyone—especially those who question the healing power of sensuality. ... full review

So much fun! The music was great, and the lyrics were clever and funny. GREAT performances--especially from the 2 character actors--and strong directing. I loved how smart references and sophisticated (contemporary) characters came together in an accessible and simple story, and I was left contemplating how I spend my life--what more could you ask? ... full review

The poignancy and urgency of this harrowing immersive piece hit hardest in the most mundane moments: monotonous, clinical voicemails, funeral arrangements, pudding, walks, pain relief. Less of a "production" and more of a reminder that love and life is a string of tiny, meaningless moments; and that those who take care of you--friends, family, nurses, coincidental bystanders--are your people to hold close. ... full review

A Beast/A Burden

Exquisite. Beautifully written, spectacular performances. Any fear I had of a stodgy, humorless, self-important Sunday morning theater experience was quickly dispelled by the opening sequence. As Ben Hethcoat--flawlessly natural as Chris Burden--dove his head into a bucket of water to "breathe water, which I believe to be a thicker, more nutritious form of oxygen.", I was incredulous. Was this guy a total idiot? And was he actually going to "breathe", or just fake it and hold his breath? And wait... full review

Terra Is A Warm Gun

Like a post-nuclear wasteland of the Internet—tiny shards of juicy content scattered to the four winds. Terra is a phenomenally talented singer, and embodier of candid snapshots of character. For those seeking the vision quest of abstract/experimental/far out Fringe fun, Look no further.... full review

Black When I Was A Boy

Bates is a vibrant and charming performer. The harrowing story is a rough reminder of the two-faced ugliness of race relations in this country—with some examples of shining humanity. ... full review
