Forced Conviction

I don't want to give anything away so I will try and give my recommendation for this show but still allow you to have no expectations. It is simply brilliant. The natural/chaotic/poetic/sympathetic/surreal writing and delivery of this play was so refreshing. I could have seen this filmed into a beautiful short film but what was so fabulous was the use of the random and REAL surroundings. Simply the feeling you have by sitting in public being viewed by passerbys just as the characters are will giv... full review

It felt like we were really in Rachel's shoes and born into a whole different family history. It was so much fun to laugh WITH her during her stories. This show starts with a bang and the pacing is great. She really is comfortable with the audience and does not have that weird deer-in-headlights feeling I usually see in solo work. This show is simply mesmerizing. From the moment Bianca (Willow) opens her mouth she captivates the room with her voice. The music and sound was spot on. The music direction was so well done that it seemed as though the group had a universal technique they were all using which really allowed you to sink in to the music and style of the piece. I did feel the story was a little weak with the resolution in the end but I feel that can be easily worked on after this great run. Phantom of the opera has... full review

EXORCISTIC: the Rock Musical Parody Experiment

This show is a non stop thrill. You would expect a great show with Michael Shaw Fisher's hilarious lyrics and catchy music in joint forces with Michael Teoli's full and rich orchestrations and rocking live band led by the ringmaster general himself, Pat Towne. What you get instead is an amazeballs show with some of LA Theatre's most talented performers and vocalists. Talent I was introduced to through this production for the first time was Laura Sperazza, who is rock goddess whom I am now a forev... full review
