The writing and performance are honest, self-effacing and always welcoming. The title suggests political discourse but this is actually a fascinating, funny and refreshing look into how we learn to negotiate, accept and love ourselves (all of them.) Thank god. Propelled by the desire to leave the country, this is a thoughtful, self-reflecting solo show whose structure allows us to take the journey with the main character, instead of being told what happened.
