The Day I Became Black

Bill Posley just brought the house down. Fierce, funny, ferocious and funky, this journey of identity had me from the first assured moment and danced with me til the end. The writing and performance are honest, self-effacing and always welcoming. Many Trump Refugees in One Body

The title suggests political discourse but this is actually a fascinating, funny and refreshing look into how we learn to negotiate, accept and love ourselves (all of them.) Thank god. Propelled by the desire to leave the country, this is a thoughtful, self-reflecting solo show whose structure allows us to take the journey with the main character, instead of being told what happened. A beautifully sure-handed, hilarious and insightful journey through the human heart and it's desire to be caressed. Initially by others, but ultimately by ourselves. That kind of journey takes a fearless leader. David Rodwin is the right kind of storyteller. And this is the right kind of One-man show. ... full review

Hot Dates is a rock and roll musical lapdance of fun and bi-sexual sweetness with surprising sincerity and charm. Underneath her hard candy shell, Shira's heart is big and all chocolate.
