Ice Cream Blonde

Ice cream blonde was an absolute delight! Alexandra is a captivating actress who completely transformed into Thelma Todd. Her movements, expressions, humor, and wit are meticulously sustained throughout the entire performance, making it dynamic and compelling to watch throughout. Caroline Sweet’s direction was so spot on and allowed Alexandra to move seamlessly through the story and different characters in such a stylized, effortless way.... full review

The show is an exploration of deep regret. When your life turns out to not be what you expected, and you are forced to look back and realize how precious your life was. There is a beauty in being forced to face those hard truths and Venus Express does so in a fun playful and heartfelt way. Kudos to Cristina for creating an experimental piece of art that pushes the boundaries deep into space and beyond.... full review

SAM

Sam gave us such a beautiful portrayal of what it feels like to be an artist in Hollywood. It was introspective with a tinge of absurdity and absolutely over-the-top fun singing and dancing, which was the cherry on top. Sam’s embracing of true self was such a joy to watch an experience! ... full review

Emma Estrada Seeks Estardum

Wow! I am completely blown away by Emma‘s ability to go places that most Fringe shows wouldn’t dare go. The clowning and character work was so committed, absurd, deliciously uncomfortable and allowed the audience to examine just how odd it is to be a human in this world. Emma really takes her time and sits in the concepts and themes and it’s truly hypnotizing to watch. The audience interaction parts were so well executed. This brave performance was exactly what I needed! ... full review

Wow! This show was emotionally way deeper than I was expecting. Liza is truly a gifted performer to take the heavy subject matter of suicide, grief and loss and still make us laugh at the absurdity of life while singing her heart out about her life experience. That takes guts, heart and bravery. The music, story and performance all together was compelling and heartfelt. Thank you Liza for sharing your story with us so vulnerably. Brava!
