I loved this show, despite its length. Vivi brings to the Fringe a story beyond personal. We are not only seeing where her parents came from, but we are witnessing a side of history that the majority of Americans have no idea about. What happened after the Vietnam War to the locals. Her ability to share with us the struggle that both her parents went through, as kids, and what it took to escape a communist war zone is excellent. But the story is too short. Let me start by saying I hope I can find the words to describe just how good this show is. I have seen a lot of shows at the Fringe. A lot of two-handers. A lot of dramas. And this is easily one of the best I have seen in a while. Right from the start, the audience is captivated. We see a simple video showcasing two daughers and their dad playing a game of Uno. My first ensemble show of the season is one of the funnest I've experience. And so much of it is owed to the wonderful dialogue by Eberhardt. It's obvious, and worth it, that she wrote this piece in part with the actors. Everyone on stage feels so comfortable in their characters and they play so well with each other. My second ensemble show of the season is easily one of the best I've seen at Fringe, period. Michael Shaw Fisher's writing is at its best, as he brings together four characters and throws them into a setting that just demands laughter. All four actors own the stage as they challenge each other and continue to raise the bar with each moment. And one of the beauties of this play is that you don't see each moment coming. This is one of the funnest shows I've seen this year. With a great collection of shanties to guide us through a simple narrative, Spencer and his troupe give the audience some of the best harmonies. It's such a joy to hear this cast sing with almost no instruments and really connect with the audience and each other. Spencer is truly a standout as the captain of the ship, leading his crew through various incidents and songs. There are plenty of laughs and moments that just make you smile. ... full review

What a brilliant show to start my Fringe this year. Not only did Nina and Miles deliver on a perfect first show, it hit really hard on all the feels. Nina's journey that she takes us on truly packs a punch as she gives a lovely ode to struggling artists. And with the skillful directing of Miles to guide her, she brings one of the best performances I've seen this year to the stage. ... full review

What an incredible show. With amazing acting from all three performers and top notch directing from Ritchey, this piece soars as one of those few shows over an hour that are completely worth it! Walking into this show, I knew nothing of Brandon, only people telling me that I needed to see it. And they were right. This show is excellent. From the start Brandon takes you right into his problem of looking Indian, but not knowing anything about what it means to be Indian. I was sincerely blown away by this show. Right from the start, I was drawn into Pavan's script. As a performer, he is so captivating and enganging. His ability to utilize his space, his props, and his physicality to create every moment is amazing. I was truly impressed by the casualness of the dialogue and the description of each scene.
