1 Year Later…I DO Have a Fringe Show (For Reals!)

suzanne seyfi · July 10, 2026 uncertified reviewer
This hectic show made me laugh hysterically even when I felt like I ought to be crying. Poor Teddy! 🥲 And poor Trevor, just trying to put on a historical Western but forced to cater to scary loan sharks instead. His plight may be desperate, but you'll be giggling anyway. Can't wait for next year's offering!... full review

Happy! Merry! Joyous!: Inside the Mind of a Caroler

suzanne seyfi · June 29, 2026 certified reviewer
This is my favorite solo show I've seen in years! It's funny and fascinating: the cream of the crop in edutainment. This show not only provides interesting tidbits about various Christmas carols, it also delivers an in-depth breakdown on the process of becoming a professional caroler. Happy! Merry! Joyous! is a fantastic show for Christmas enthusiasts, history and word nerds, performers who have faced less-than-enthusiastic audiences, and anyone who has ever spent long, excruciating hours preppin... full review

Get Thee to a Beanery: A Hamlet Coffeeshop AU

suzanne seyfi · June 29, 2026 certified reviewer
This show is modern in its values, but steeped in questions humanity has struggled with for millennia: how can I feel accepted for who I am? What makes for good leadership? What should be the dividing line between a public and private life? What are acceptable sacrifices for the good of a kingdom, a people, a country? Why can't my parents just love me? This show is angsty, as all Hamlet stories should be, but it provides a little sunbeam of hope, too. ... full review

The Layover

suzanne seyfi · June 29, 2026 certified reviewer
This is the best romantic comedy (that "isn't a romance") I've seen in a long time. The dialogue and acting were compelling, the jokes were hilarious, the characters were wonderful - even the less likeable ones. I truly wish I'd seen it twice!... full review

Space Company

suzanne seyfi · June 29, 2026 certified reviewer
This show was a perfect sendup of MLMs, corporate takeovers, and patriarchal values. The competitive and destructive nature of Space Company is revealed slowly, then suddenly comes to a shocking yet inevitable conclusion. It's funny, heartbreaking, and inspiring: fight the power!... full review

The Seven Year Bitch

suzanne seyfi · June 29, 2026 certified reviewer
This show, much like its main star, is gorgeous. It's also darkly funny, portraying the rise and fall of a semi-starlet in her own words - although the ending makes the audience question everything. Great jokes, wonderful songs, and pitch-perfect chemistry between the cast makes this show a delight!... full review

ANXIETY THE MUSICAL! (do you like that title? is that okay?)

suzanne seyfi · June 26, 2026 certified reviewer
A delightful musical that is in fact anxiety-inducing. I feel like I've got my anxiety under control, but when Jasmine called on me to play her therapist, I spent several minutes during and after the play anguishing over whether I did it right! The performance is compelling, #relatable, and frankly inspiring - I couldn't believe Jasmine isn't vocally trained, because she sounds great!... full review

Woody Wrote 3 Pilots

I saw the Invisible table read, and now I want the rest of the season! Every character was introduced so masterfully, I felt I knew them within a few lines of dialogue. The world feels fully fleshed out and fascinating. And it's so funny and so compelling! My partner and I both say: more, please!... full review

Lady M

suzanne seyfi · June 26, 2026 uncertified reviewer
If you're into furious women enacting revenge while looking fierce and fab, this is absolutely for you. This Lady MacBeth is sick of her abusive (and incompetent) husband's BS, and she's willing to go to extreme lengths - alongside her witchy lover - to wreak havoc and vengeance on anyone who stands in her way. Go check out this feminist retelling!... full review

the real LADY MACBETH - World Premiere

suzanne seyfi · June 25, 2026 certified reviewer
What a reimagining! This is a story steeped in history and nature. This is a Lady MacBeth who is wild and cautious, grieving and fiercely loving, kin to warriors and a poetess. The play is so grounded in the time and place, so immersed in historical goings-on and human emotions, that the mysticism feels somber and grounded too, rather than flighty or silly. This play moved me deeply!... full review
