BELLYFUL

One of my favorite shows I have seen this Fringe! I enjoyed every moment of Vivia in her solo show Bellyfull! Vivia is charming, funny and has such a powerful stage presence. I was captivated by her and her story. Very real and honest. I enjoyed the peaks and valleys she took me on. People often write off folks who are in larger bodies or folks that they perceive different from them and what a silly thing to do. We've lived different lives, her and I, but I saw myself in Vivia and related to ... full review

UNSEEN

One of the best solo shows I have seen! Kim was charming, funny and engaging. The show was well written, well paces, well-acted/performed, real and honest. But also, the show still hit emotional depth, and I felt the grief the grief Kim went through. I really connected with the show as an actor who also does tech/crew/behind the scenes work to survive...I 100% related to Kim. For so long Kim felt unseen and through this show, not only is she telling her tale, speaking her truth (thus reclaimi... full review

Jackie, Baby!

I thought Cylie Janiece was charming, fun and sincere in her performance. All of her characters were clear, different and well-acted. This piece was like a lover letter to theater, live performing and also embracing the natural highs and lows we all face as we change and our industry changes. A fun and earnest show encouraging connection with people. Glad I saw it! Welcome back to the stage Jackie, Baby!... full review

Gilded Rage: The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Behead

mikkel simons · June 14, 2026 certified reviewer
"Gilded Rage" is probably the most absurd piece of theater that I have seen in a long time! It was both clever and humorous as well as unafraid to poke fun at elites or power structures. Cast was very talented, had solid comedic timing, charming and great characters. The writing was smart/clever. I was slightly confused at times (mostly due to not knowing when I needed to engage back as an audience member) but I definitely enjoyed myself, had a lot of fun and laughs. It was a wild and an absurd e... full review

Best Possible Death

mikkel simons · June 13, 2026 certified reviewer
I thought that "Best Possible Death" took a large (and unknowable) concept of what happens after we die and put a fun and playful take on it. All while wrapping it with a much deeper message of sometimes in life we don't understand why things happen the way they do in life. We might never know while alive how we impact someone else's life, by our presence in life or by the lack of our presence when we are gone. ... full review

#MESSY (The Brazilian Hour)

mikkel simons · June 30, 2025 certified reviewer
I loved the message of embracing our inner #Messy. Life is messy, it's not always perfect and striving for perfection sets us all up for failure/disappointment. I loved that Julia encouraged us all to be messy, do the best that you can do that given moments and it's okay to not have it all figured out. It is okay to be #Messy. ... full review
