Micah & Marnina are exceedingly charming, brilliant, hilarious songsmiths. ... full review

One of my favorite shows of fringe. Ian is an idiot supreme. This show is perfectly a constructed cantankerous comedy. (Sorry for the alliteration). I loved the metaphor of the show -- a perfect premise that I won't give away. I laughed nonstop for an hour straight and that was very healing indeed. ... full review

The Life and Times of a Gay Bug

A beautiful, hilarious, and quietly devastating work. This is an urgent, universal but personal story. And Ell is a supreme clown idiot, spending most of the show in game with the audience. We ate it up! ... full review

Dragonfish

This floored me. I left a blubbering fish myself, crying all the way to my car. This is an incredibly poetic examination of the trauma a single parent can inflict on a family. Soleil builds a gorgeous tapestry of a piece. ... full review

Until Death

Strange and beautiful in all the right ways. This piece feels like a dream someone whispered lovingly into a paper hospital gown. It’s full of unexpected humor, humanity, and play. Nalini is a soulful weirdo in the best sense. ... full review

Reservoir Dolls: The Whole Bloody Affair

An absurd retrospective of Tarantino's films and reputation. Lani takes Tarantino down one peg at a time to hilarious effect -- and it leaves you wanting more. Every very specific reference to his films is so satisfying at the same time that Lani dissects them with a feminist lens.... full review

Sylvie Wang Presents Sylvie Wang

george aivaliotis · June 30, 2025 certified reviewer
One of my favorites of fringe -- and Sylvie achieved that in 30 minutes! I laughed so much at Sylvie's gloriously stupid and secretly smart show. Sylvie is an expert improviser, and relentlessly clever in her subversive act. ... full review

Jersey Devil: A Dead Dad Comedy

The first word that popped in my head after: riveting. My jaw was on the floor for the entire show. Hal channels his father in an astonishing way. I could have listened to two more hours of these stories. And ultimately, it's a beautiful, cathartic and compassionate story of a veryyyyy complicated father.... full review

El Mago Loco

george aivaliotis · June 30, 2025 certified reviewer
This is some of the most fun I've had at fringe. Linzy is a master of the comedic. I was dying with every joke and every turn. Idiotic in the best way, and brilliant under the hood. She had the audience in the palm of her hands, and we were often raucous with joy. ... full review

Pandora's Boombox

george aivaliotis · June 30, 2025 certified reviewer
An inventive, absurd and supremely silly clown show. They create so many beautiful images at the same time as these two fools go from innocence to overwhelm. A stage full of props is always a good sign the audience will have fun and Cota and Karen make sure your inner child will come out to play! ... full review
