Waiting for [Gal] Gadot by Jake Thomas

This play was SMART and FUNNY and FUN. I loved all of the inside baseball jokes about the film industry and I related a little too hard to some of the absurdities. The characters were incredibly three dimensional and I was rooting for each one of them from jump. The physical comedy was fantastic and I am still laughing about some of the specific jokes. ... full review

The Smokeout : A Comedy Rap Battle and Variety Show

Character rap battles featuring characters from other Fringe shows in a SUPER fun atmosphere. Going to The Smokeout feels like going to the best house party EVER: there was a taco stand outside, and everyone got a free taco with their ticket. Then you walk in and you're greeted by the friendliest Front of House person (hi Ashley!). The programming was really smart: in between battles they had performances by hosts Zheryk and Wes, who are both SO talented and play off of each other beautifully. P... full review

Make Me

Taya is a magnetic performer who has conquered so many skills that she can whip them out with a literal second's notice: her facial expressions, physicality, accents, and ability to pull from real life experience came together in perfect concert. The way she told us so much about a character with a brief glance or comment was incredible, and each time my reaction was "oh I know that guy" even if it was a truly outlandish mannequin creation by the audience member. I felt like I was inside a bril... full review

A Haunting Revue II

I love when a story takes a familiar set up (no spoilers) and completely reinvents it. The show starts with a story about siblings going through their mother's things, then moves to a damaged friendship, then finishes with a story about family and friendship expectations and the existential crisis of not meeting those expectations. These are familiar themes, but they were explored in such unique ways with completely original and three dimensional characters. The casting was superb: the actors wor... full review

The amount of SMART jokes per minute was incredible. The character was totally dialed in, and Adam gave an energetic and engaging performance from jump. ... full review

The Resurrectionists

This show really captured the feeling of living in a small town, and each resident was extremely three dimensional and grounded. I especially enjoyed the dynamic with the preacher, and how that tension eventually escalated with the character Cam. ... full review

Joke Hold

Equally talented ensemble cast carrying a snappy script with ease. One of the most dastardly and real villains I've seen, played to slow burn perfection by the actor (no spoilers!). I really related to both Maya and Cy, though I have also absolutely been an Andrew and a Bernie and an Ash. That's the part that really stuck with me: every character really embodied the various archetypes of the improv comedy world, and larger comedy world in general. ... full review

''The Trick'' and ''The Pearl''

A fantastic double bill exploring two totally different group dynamics, but with equal depth and detail. "The Pearl" explores a dysfunctional family at a sprawling family estate in the 1920's, and "The Trick" explores a dysfunctional duo at a bar in the 1990's. Each slice of life was extremely engaging, and really believable. Each play had their own director (Hasmik Sargsyan "The Pearl", Alexandria Sanders "The Trick") and it was incredible to see how seamlessly they complemented each other bring... full review

2026 Salem Witch Trial

An outstanding solo show by a magnetic storyteller. The true story itself is absolutely wild, and it's told with such smart writing and builds very organically. Gretchen is an incredibly engaging storyteller who is also a fantastic actress, singer, and comedian, and she weaves those talents together flawlessly to make this a true one woman SHOW. She immediately let us know who she is and where she came from in a way that built a perfect foundation for the rest of the story. And it left us wanti... full review

The Terrible Somnambulists

It was completely engaging and created such a rich, unsettling environment from the start. A two hander with crackling chemistry between characters that never rely on tired tropes: each actor goes through various emotions and argues multiple points of view with ease. Like old friends, they comfortably argue, and agree, and then go back to arguing. Their movements in the small space were enough to keep us engaged but never too much to be distracting, which helped me really focus on their dialogue ... full review
