FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“A wildly imaginative sex farce where a rocky marriage, surreal temptations, and deviant sea creatures collide – with slippery consequences.”

Los Angeles, CA — A struggling marriage takes an unexpected and bizarre turn in The Fisherman’s Wife: A Sex Farce. With Sea Creatures., a dark comedy by Emmy-nominated playwright Steve Yockey, presented as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2026.

Reimagining a familiar folktale through a contemporary and irreverent lens, the play follows a couple whose relationship is disrupted by a mysterious salesman and two unusual sea creatures. As desires escalate and boundaries blur, the story explores intimacy, transformation, and the consequences of getting exactly what you wish for.

Produced by Skylight Productions, the production features Kristin Shoffner, Robert Svetlik, Matt Felten, Allison Walter, and Harrison Grant.

Yockey is known for his genre-blending storytelling in both theater and television, including The Flight Attendant on HBO, and Dead Boy Detectives on Netflix.
