COMEDIAN SUZETTE FERRETTI PRESENTS HER SOLO DARK COMEDY SPECIAL, FAILURE TO THRIVE, AT THE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL 2026.
Failure to Thrive
June 6 – June 21 @ The Madnani Theater
Hollywood, CA – Suzette Ferretti presents Failure to Thrive, a raw, autobiographical solo comedy special making its world premiere at the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival. The show opens with a preview performance on June 6 at The Madnani Theater, where it will continue its run through June 21. Admission is free. (Mature content; recommended for ages 18+.)
Written and performed by Suzette Ferretti, Failure to Thrive is a darkly funny, deeply personal hour chronicling eight years of chasing a dream in Los Angeles — from living in an elderly man’s maid’s quarters on Mulholland Drive, to working as a retail wizard at Universal Studios, to navigating a Crohn’s disease diagnosis without health insurance, to losing her father to Alzheimer’s during the pandemic. Equal parts stand-up, confessional, and survival story, the show is a love letter to anyone who has refused to quit despite every indication that they should. Drawing on her first-generation Cuban-American upbringing and a finely tuned instinct for finding comedy in catastrophe, Suzette delivers an unflinching set that is both devastating and deeply, uncomfortably hilarious.
Failure to Thrive is an intimate 49-seat experience. The show is free because Suzette believes you should feel called to it — “like show business or TLC instead of Bravo.”
Failure to Thrive previews at The Madnani Theater on Saturday, June 6 at 8:00 PM, with additional performances Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 PM and Sunday, June 21 at 4:30 PM. All performances are free. The Madnani Theater is located at 6760 Lexington Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90038 — just off Highland Avenue. Limited street parking available; rideshare recommended.
