Brandon Rainey

Proving to supersede expectations with his original musical “Flashing Lights”, nationally endeared playwright and director, Brandon Rainey with his CBG Arts Group took Los Angeles by storm in the Summer of 2012 (selling over 3,000 tickets during the first weekend of it’s workshop run). Rainey rallies his troops of quality urban entertainers, known as CBG Arts Group, to suit up for war against gang violence, drug abuse, police brutality and identity crisis among our urban communities in the form of touring musicals with epic proportions.

Brandon Rainey has serviced theaters, colleges, churches and high schools across the nation for the last fifteen years. Bringing his masterful playwright/directing skills polished under New York Broadway directing giants to communities in need, Rainey has a faithful determination to use the arts to change lives for the better. Receiving esteemed honors like directing a heart stopping live stage visual for the TV ONE 2016 Stellar Awards, being the creative genius behind the opening act of Michael Jackson’s Tribute Concert presented by the Jackson Family and Quincy Jones, and founding the Atlanta University Center Drama Ministry, Rainey has proven himself to be a superlative visionary. Brandon Rainey has also received accolades from Morehouse College with the Spike Lee Award, accepted the JP Morgan CHASE Bank Center Theater Group Fellowship Award along with the Los Angeles Inner City Youth Barack Obama Award, selected by the City of Inglewood to create theater in the parks, recognized as Community Leader of the Year by Delta Sigma Theta and countless others; Rainey has acquired vast communal support from LA’s youth to LA’s most exalted.
