Kristen Boulé is the Founding President and Artistic Director of 2Cents Theatre Group, a not for profit theatre company in residence at the Hudson Theatres on Theatre Row in Hollywood.
Notable dir./prod. credits (theatre) include “RENT” (nom. best director, NAACP), “Fugitive Songs” (nom. best director, Robby Awards), “NILBOG the Troll 2 musical parody” at HFF16 and the immersive & interactive “Rocky Horror Experience” at the Dragonfly in 2013. Boulé produces annually 2Cents’ Acting Out INK Fest, a 3-day Festival presenting around 20 fully produced plays all written by female playwrights from around the country.
Boulé has also initiated 2Cents’ very active outreach program. Most notably, the 2Cents Carolers travel around Los Angeles throughout the month of December singing for homeless shelters and supportive housing facilities. 2Cents has also worked with KidWorks in Santa Ana, bringing theatre education workshops to their school, and developed a field trip program for multiple schools during their annual INK Fest. 2Cents partners with not for profits whenever possible.
With 2Cents, now in their fifth season, Boulé hopes to continue to develop a unique community for artists with constant opportunity to create and explore. Go 99! Support intimate theatre! May small theatre in LA continue to thrive and inspire.
