Peter Hsieh

Peter Hsieh is a playwright from San Jose, California. He has written over 30 plays since graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in English Literature and many of them have received productions, workshops, and readings at different theaters and festivals. Recent credits include his play Interval, Impulse at Nylon Fusion Collective in New York, Lauren and the Ocean at the Fringe of Marin One-Act Play Festival, Tree at SF Theater Pub, and A Room with Modern Furniture which was a finalist for the Playwright Cage Match at Douglas Morrisson Theatre. Peter is the co-founder of City Light Source, New Play Development Series, a member of Asian American Theater Company’s New Works Incubator, and a member of San Jose Rep’s Emerging Artist Lab’s artistic committee where he serves as head of the literary department.
