Michael Patrick Spillers is an LA-based playwright. His autobiographical comedy “WHITE BOY” explores his introduction to Latino culture after moving here from the Ozarks in 1989. “WHITE BOY” premiered at Highways Performance Space in 1995 and has also been produced in San Diego and Palm Springs.
“ALWAYS AND FOREVER”, a story about Mexican-American youth culture, has been produced at Watts Village Theatre Company (2007) and Casa 0101 (2009).
Michael is a proud member of Company of Angels Theatre in downtown LA, where his short play “CLEAN” will premiere in April/May as part of a 1-act festival commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the LA Riots.
Michael is excited to present a staged reading of his newest play “FOLLOW”, about the clash between African Americans and the Gay community after the passage of Prop 8, at Celebration Theatre as part of the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
