Kelby Thwaits

Kelby Thwaits is an award winning Actor, Singer, Musician and Multi-Media Artist in Los Angeles, CA. He got his start performing in plays, musicals, chamber orchestras and rock bands while working as a camera operator for a local TV station in Tucson, AZ.

After moving to Hollywood, he landed his first gig as a Rotoscope artist in the Visual Effects department on Ron Howard’s Academy Award nominated film, Cinderella Man, (Russell Crowe/Renée Zellweger).

He is President and CEO of E-Fusion Studios and has created, developed and produced original content for Spike TV, SyFy Channel, VH1, MTV, Disney, Sony Online Entertainment, EA Games, Yahoo!, Funny or Die, OnDemand, Microsoft, Bungie Studios, RED 5 Studios and Walden Media where he helped develop and starred in projects for stage and screen included a Rock & Roll version of The Odyssey and a theatrical re-telling of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

His acting, singing, voice work and original music can be found in film, television, radio, theatre and video games.

Select theatre credits include starring roles in Jekyll & Hyde, Camelot, The Rainmaker, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Jesus Christ Superstar, South Pacific, and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Kelby received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Arizona where he studied Acting, Classical Voice and Music Composition. He continued his studies at the Academy of Art University where he received a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures & Television and Music Scoring & Composition.

He is the Director of Mount Saint Mary’s University’s innovative Graduate Film, Television & Photography Programs at Sunset Las Palmas Studios.
