Abie Philbin Bowman

Abie Philbin Bowman is the writer & performer of ‘Jesus: The Guantanamo Years’, ‘Eco-Friendly Jihad’ and ‘Sex, Lies & the KKK’. He will perform all three shows at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival, as well is conducting workshops on how to write and tour a successful one-person show.

Abie has toured theatres and festivals across Ireland, the UK, the East Coast and even Pakistan. He’s the only Western stand-up dumb enough to have performed a religious comedy in a Muslim country during a State of Emergency.

He’s also the only Irish radio host to have interviewed the Ku Klux Klan live on Barack Obama’s election night.

At the Edinburgh Festival in 2006, the Scotsman dubbed him “The Face of this Year’s Fringe”
At the Brighton Fringe in 2010, ThreeWeeks called him “The Busiest comedian at this years’ Fringe”.
