Matt Fowler

Matt Fowler is an L.A. based professional actor who relocated from Vermont, then Texas to pursue his passion for storytelling in film and television. He was drafted to Norwich University on a wrestling scholarship in 2004, where he appeared in his first stage performance. Matt graduated from KD Studio Actors Conservatory of the Southwest in 2007. He studied Lee Strasberg’s “Method Technique” with actress Barbara Bain, and Del Close’s “The Herold” with Improv Olympic founding member Mark Beltzman. He is accomplished in all aspects of storytelling and his great work ethic and excellent on set leadership reflect his achievements both in front of and behind the camera. 2014 was filled with many exciting projects and opportunities for Matt. Aside from marrying the love of his life, he also had the opportunity to perform onstage at the renowned Odyssey Theatre Ensemble where he reprised his role in the highly praised South African docudrama “The Human Spirit” (as seen in the Huffington Post, LA Times, LA Weekly, etc.) He also reprised his leading role in the interactive psychological horror show “Delusion: Lies Within” in the historic West Adams District in downtown LA, in addition to filming 8 episodes on the sci-fi webshow “The Lab”, being cast in the upcoming sitcom “Bats in the Belfry”, associate producing two short films for The Necromance Projects LLC, and writing directing and producing his own wildly popular mock reality show “Zombie Whisperer”. Aside from his acting career Matt has an extensive background in the arts and education. Since 2008 Matt has also been a professional fight choreographer for film and theatre. He even brings his passion for choreography into his teaching where he trains children ages K-12 in fight choreography as a way to connect with their characters, redirect negative emotions, and learn about respect and trust among peers.
