This was a wild show! I've seen many sketch comedy shows, and they have a tendency to blend together perhaps at times playing it safe and going with the general vibe of what a sketch comedy show “is”…this show is the exact opposite of all that. There were many moments when my mouth was a gape because the content was so innovative and unusual. I appreciate how the cast had a total willingness to put themselves out there, both emotionally, and at many points, physically, with some wonderful moments... full review

I was very surprised by how dynamic and captivating this play was. In its short runtime, it manages to provide incredibly rich characters and storylines. All 4 characters were deeply likable, and the entire audience was clearly rooting for their success throughout the performance, a testament to the strong writing and charismatic acting from the entire cast. This play was hilarious at times, particularly in the use of effective running jokes that became funnier with each repetition. There were al... full review

Wow. I was very impressed with this innovative production. It's impossible to talk about this thrilling play without heavily spoiling some key details about the story, but I can promise you that you will be surprised by the incredible twists and turns that this play takes you on throughout its journey. The play had a lovely balance of tense drama and comedy, all of this under the umbrella of the very important topics that the play tackles courageously. I give much respect to the courage that it takes for this cast and crew to take on such a deeply nuanced classic play and finding a way to harness the bravery and vulnerability in a compelling way for a modern audience. This team clearly has an excellent understanding of the text, the entire cast demonstrates a clear mastery of the language. I feel that this production took some time to reach the point of captivation, but it certainly achieved this in its final 30 minutes, creating some brilliant... full review

This play was a beautiful and intense ride through the fascinating story of Lee Atwater. Ben Hethcoat was really wonderful, his charisma lights up the stage and it's so clear that he knows Lee Atwater inside and out, he fully commits to his role. There are some interesting thematic elements to Son of a Bitch that makes it very relevant today, and I think this play does an excellent job of portraying the true historical events in a theatrically engaging way. This is one of the best shows I've seen... full review

I really enjoyed this show. Above all else, I think that the political message in it is extremely clever, and I love the fact that it's subtle and not beaten over the head like most political shows often are. The dialogue is very witty, snappy, and will leave you on the edge of this seat. I think that this play will provide a wonderful experience for anyone who has the privilege to see it. ... full review
