The Circle Table

brett moore · June 13, 2019 certified reviewer
This is a great interconnected web that reminds me a little of a story like "Love Actually" in the way that so many stories intersect and entwine with one another, particularly as the show ends. Thorough, well-acted, and cleverly staged and choreographed, "The Circle Table" really highlights the ways we communicate and the impact on our relationships in the age of smartphones, Facebook, and Lyft... and even while evaluating that, makes you care so much more about the characters and their stories.... full review

Tattered Capes

Tattered Capes is one of the finest shows Greg Crafts has ever written. I've seen a lot of his work, but for sheer personal force, character development and definition, and dialogue, this show is a huge accomplishment. Add in the unbelievable choreography and some of the best stage combat I've seen at literally any level of theatre, and what Greg, Soda Persi, Corey Lynn Howe, and their cast have accomplished is stunning.... full review

blackboxing

Blackboxing is both a side-splitting takedown of Fringe and one man shows, and the fulfillment of every stage manager's worst nightmare (and fondest dreams). I left in actual pain from laughing so much and so hard over 45 minutes. You'll want to sing along to a song you've never even heard before. Jim and Matt both deliver brilliance in moment after moment, as well as some unexpected heart.... full review

Guess Who(m)

Just a legitimately hilarious set of monologues (and one two-person scene) that'll tickle everyone's funny bones. The show is a series of stereotype characters in ridiculous (but familiar!) situations who each deliver hysterical monologues and made me laugh till I cried. ... full review

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

The gumption it takes to mount Jekyll and Hyde as a two-person show is off the charts, but Burt and Anna NAIL IT.... full review

Attack of the Retro Sci-Fi Futurist

I came in a little skeptical based on the description, and I left completely delighted. Informative, funny, charming, and relevant, James Mandall does a great job enthralling an all-ages audience with the story of science fiction, with some original songs on the topic sprinkled in for good measure.. Great fun, highly recommend for sc-fi fans!... full review

The Universe (101)

brett moore · June 10, 2018 uncertified reviewer
This show is a ton of fun with a stunning magic/psychic reveal at the end. Brilliantly staged, planned, written, and performed, the show is a laugh a minute, and has an Abbott and Costello meets Doc Brown sort of vibe, with mental magic and a high degree of audience interaction blended in.... full review

Met Again

This show is an emotional rollercoaster and a brilliant story, performed by relatable leads with unbelievable charisma, chemistry, and magnetism. You will laugh, and you will cry, and there is nothing you can do about either.... full review
