STILL HAVE THE SONGS IN MY HEAD! What an absolute brilliant show from start to finish. I was shocked to learn this was Zachary Bernstein’s first musical!!! Not only was every song super catchy and perfect, but it was the accompanying soundtrack for a wholly original and genius script. BEST WAY TO SPEND A FRIDAY NIGHT! It’s absolutely hilarious...not sure if that’s what they intended, but I was laughing the entire time. It’s super interactive, engaging, and exciting! I was sitting with someone who’s afraid of horror shows and he was freaking out so that was definitely part of the fun. They allowed the audience to be interactive and comment throughout which honestly added to the experience. So LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL!! I felt that it was a very thoughtful and original show that captured human introspection. I felt that I could connect with both the characters through their journey as they sought to connect with each other despite their own limitations. Would happily see again!!! Witty, thought provoking, and entertaining! This play explores so many social dynamics and ideas, and has great pacing throughout. My favorite thing (aside from the brilliant writing) was the acting of Daniel Sugimoto and Julia Lisa, so so good. The conversation felt natural and everything just worked so well.
