Ryan Harry

Ryan was born in Ft. Myers, Fla., but was more or less raised in Cape Cod, Ma. Mashpee to be exact. It would be at Mashpee High School in his junior year where Ryan would find his true passion, Acting.

His first role was “Demetrius” in “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream.” During these performances Ryan fell in love with the rush that came with being on stage and since then hasn’t looked back. Ryan stayed in Massachusetts for the next few years, doing as many plays as possible, and even was scouted on a sketch/ improv team, “Gray Cylindars and Purple Boxes.” This opportunity took him all around Massachusetts and New York City, performing comedy at such places as the “New York Comedy Club.” After a few years of performing in the east coast, Ryan made the move out west to give TV and Film a try.

Finding the west coast to be completely different from the east, and TV and Film to be a completely different beast then being on stage, Ryan took some time to train under a great coach, Adam Wilhite. This is where Ryan really honed his skills for both the big and small screen.

Ryan landed his first role in a TBS show “Minding the Store w/ Pauly Shore,” where he played, you guessed it, an actor. Ryan went blow for blow with Pauly in the improvisational show, giving him confidence that he could play with the best.

The next role he landed shortly after. A made for TV Film “Andrew Jackson” for the History Channel where he played “Charles Wilson,” one of Andrew Jackson’s dirty shirt soldiers. This was Ryan’s first period piece and he had a blast firing blanks out of an old rifle and dressing in wardrobe that was authentic to The War of 1812.

Ryan then went and did a few short film projects that were of great interest. One being a western, “Red Gold End Game,” where he plays Deputy Tim Cole, where we find the Deputy’s bark to be a bit bigger than his bite, and his heart to be a little bigger than his skill set. Then Ryan Produced and starred in “Fare.” An artsy short film where he plays a drifter who’s a little lost in life until he finds a note on a deflated balloon in the ocean.

Ryan then returned to his roots and wrote and starred in a sketch called “Bieber Fever,” which was picked by Funnyordie.com to be on there homepage where it received thousands of hits. Ryan has many of sketches in the works.

However, the past year has been the best yet for Ryan. Not only has he booked a principle role on two major commercials, One being Verizon and the other Amica Mutual Insurance. He will also be seen in the up-coming Feature Film, “I Melt With You.”

“I Melt With You” is a thriller starring Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven and Sasha Grey, and directed by Mark Pellington, (Arlington Road, Mothman Prophecies). This Film was picked to be a part of the biggest Film Festival in the World, Sundance. And seeing’s how Ryan had never been to Sundance before, this film allowed him to experience the festival, as well as a bunch of other firsts. Walking the red carpet and having his work being viewed on a gigantic theater full of a sold out crowd of over 500 to be a few other firsts.

Ryan is extremely optimistic about this year and feels like its only going to get better as time goes on.

Expect to see “I Melt With You” in theaters worldwide later this year.
