Benjamin Mitchell

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I grew up in the green room hanging out around actors and artist while waiting backstage during my father’s theater productions in Hell’s Kitchen. I was taught the importance of theater (especially for actors) from a young age and began getting involved in any type of production I could.

Things started to become serious for me when I was offered an acting scholarship by Whittier College in Los Angeles. The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival nominated two of my acting performances and gave me the opportunity to compete with some of the best artist in my region for further scholarship. I graduated with a B.A. in Theater Arts & Communication as a “performance emphasis”, but I landed my first role as an Energy Broker on Wall Street with an OTC Brokerage Firm.

I negotiated Crude Oil trading between Banks, Hedge Funds, and Oil Producers during the open market hours while training in “The Meisner Technique” with Ron Stetson at The Neighborhood Playhouse at night. I had a rare opportunity to recently train with 91 year old Wynn Handman at his studio in New York before booking my way plane ticket to LA. I’ve learned that the greatest life I can live is the bliss of living through other characters and to this day, I know i’ll be acting till the moment I die.
