Briané Goodrum is a Los Angeles-based producer, writer, director, performer, and comedy creator. After completing the renowned Second City Conservatory program in Chicago, she began producing and performing original comedy across the country.
Committed to creating opportunities for underrepresented voices in comedy, Briané co-founded EbonyEssenceJet, an all-Black female improv ensemble dedicated to showcasing diverse perspectives through improvisation and sketch comedy.
After relocating to Los Angeles, she founded Hot Coffee LA, the city’s premier all-Black sketch comedy troupe. Under her leadership, the group has grown into a celebrated comedy collective, recently marking its third anniversary and performing at the Dallas Sketch Festival. Through her work, Briané continues to develop original comedic content that blends cultural commentary, storytelling, and live performance.
