Kwamise Fletcher, known on stage as LadyK, is a nationally ranked slam poet, storyteller, and performer whose work blends humor, vulnerability, and sharp social insight. Her poetry explores identity, body politics, and the lived experiences of Black women navigating the complexities of midlife.
A Hot Flash Gospel: My Unconfirmed RSVP grew out of LadyK’s own journey through perimenopause, where brain fog, hot flashes, and hormonal chaos collided with creativity and self-discovery. What began as a series of poems evolved into a one-woman poetry play that invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and recognize themselves in the messy, honest beauty of becoming.
