About five years ago, Brianne packed up her Nissan Rogue, her daughter, and a lifetime of stories, and made the cross-country move from Long Island, New York, to Los Angeles. After a long, no-nonsense career in healthcare—starting as an ER nurse in NYC, and later as a healthcare advocate battling insurance companies to get patients the care they deserve—she made the next logical leap: stand-up comedy.
The eldest (and only) girl with three younger brothers, Brianne grew up in a big, hilarious Irish family where quick wit was a survival skill. A natural storyteller, her love for spinning tales goes way back. She’s the proud winner of theDeer Park High School Storyteller of the Year, Class of 1980—clearly destined for fame at the mic.
She earned her MBA in Healthcare Management while working full-time, raising her daughter, and caring for her ill parents. It’s a feat she is very proud of, right alongside her biggest accomplishment—motherhood. Though she’s had a successful career in healthcare, writing and performing comedy has become her true passion.
Brianne has taken eleven (and counting) comedy writing classes and recently added improv to her repertoire, embracing the unpredictable and hilarious moments it brings. Her material draws from real life: growing up on Long Island, motherhood, messy family dynamics, the absurdities of healthcare, aging, grief, dating, and her ongoing quest to not totally lose her mind.
Her biggest challenge? Stage fright—tougher than divorce, tougher than grief—but she’s faced it head-on and continues to conquer it.
Now, Brianne is turning life’s messiest, most meaningful moments into something people can laugh about. She performs all over LA, including the Laugh Riot Grrrl Comedy Festival at Tao Comedy Studio, The CROW, The Comedy Store, The Ice House, HaHa Comedy Club, and most recently, The Delight Factory in Brooklyn. She’s just getting started—and loving every minute of it.
