Born and raised in mainland China, Anshu Zeng Yuan followed the traditional expectations of an Asian family and earned an engineering degree—only to leave it all behind in pursuit of a lifelong dream: filmmaking. This journey led to Los Angeles, the world’s biggest dream factory. Anshu’s works have won awards and been selected at IMDb-qualifying and Canadian Screen-qualifying film festivals, including WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, Asian Film Festival, Chinese American Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, and more. With a heart set on storytelling, Anshu strives to turn life into a journey as magical as The Alchemist.
