Jordyn Elliott Caldwell is a second-year graduate student at Loyola Marymount University, where she’s earning an MFA in Writing and Producing for Television. Originally from Virginia, Jordyn earned a BA in Film and Television from George Mason University before transitioning to the world of screenwriting. With a background in playwriting, she brings a deep passion for storytelling to both the stage and the screen.
Jordyn’s work is focused on amplifying voices often underrepresented in mainstream media, especially Black artists, queer individuals, and women of color. Drawing from her Southern upbringing, she explores the complexities of the Black experience and the unique narratives of the South, which is often overlooked in storytelling. With aspirations to become a showrunner, Jordyn is committed to creating inclusive spaces for diverse voices and writing stories that reflect the richness and diversity of lived experiences.
