Marcel’s performance training began at the age of nine at the Kim Harvey School of Dance in Canberra, where he studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary dance. He went on to study ballet and contemporary dance at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington, NZ, but then took a different turn. After studying theatre, mime and clown in Australia, England and France, Marcel has begun writing and performing his own original comedy theatre and is currently touring the international Fringe circuit with his award-winning solo shows!

 

Marcel has received rave reviews for both ‘The Ukulele Man’ and ‘Smile: The Story of Charlie Chaplin’ and has picked up a number of awards along the way including ‘Best Theatre’ at Newcastle Fringe, ‘Best in Cabaret’ Weekly Award at the Adelaide Fringe, and the San Diego and Hollywood Fringe ‘Tour Ready’ awards at the Sydney Fringe, to name just a few.
