Tanya was born and raised in Miami. As a child, it was seeing movies and plays that made her contemplate what being human was all about, and she knew that she would dedicate her life to becoming a part of these stories. After studying drama at UNC Chapel Hill, she spent time in New York City and London to further understand the craft of acting. It was here she made her stage debut in The Arcola Theatre’s production of Mariana Pineda. After moving to Los Angeles, she made her national television debut in Cougar Town. Her breakthrough feature film role came in the deadpan role of Stella Pond in the soon to be released indie spoof Twiharder. Tanya is currently developing her musical talents while continuing to take part in the exciting acting opportunities Los Angeles has to offer, and is so excited to participate in Fringe for the first time!
