Emanuel Loarca
Stared his acting career with THE PUERTO RICAN TRAVELING THEATER’S presentation of THE BEAUTIFUL SOUL OF DON DAMIAN, directed by Miriam Colon in 1998 and has participated in over 90 plays for the Latino and American Theatre. In New York City he earned an HOLA Award, an ALUNY, four ACE Award nominations and received an acknowledgment by the FBI-HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION for exceptional service in the public interest. He just directed the world premier of " SENTADO EN UN ARBOL CAIDO" for TEATRO AKABAL/Frida Kahlo Theater and was last seen in LA FAMILIA DE EMANUEL (an autobiographical solo performance) at MAACC NATIONAL theater THEATRE/Guatemala, SEA THEATER/NYC and Frida Kahlo in Los Angeles. Other credits: LA EPOPEYA DE LAS INDIAS ESPANOLAS at the WILSHIRE EBELL THEATRE, the highly acclaimed SALON MEXICO as “Lupe el policia”, at THE BILINGUAL FOUNDATION OF THE ARTS. The awards winning BELISA’S CAPRICIOUSNESS and THE MISTRESS OF THE INN both directed by Dean Zayas; PRTT, the title role in JUAN GELION DANCES FOR THE SUN; NO-PANTS THEATER CO., REPERTORIO ESPANOL, PREGONES THEATRE, IATI, LATE, LEFT, LA TEA, TEBA, 42ST. WORKSHOP, VITAL THEATER, VIVA STAGE, ELIZABETH PLAYHOUSE, GRUPO SINERGIA and NJ REPERTORY CO.
