Franny Mendes Levitin is an artist and designer born in the north suburbs of Chicago and based in Detroit, MI. Her art practice explores the intersections of design, technology, and community advocacy.
Some highlights from her career include digitizing and archiving the artworks of Barbara Rossi at the Roger Brown House Museum in Chicago, providing technical support at the University of Chicago Hack Arts Lab and Stamps Print Lab at University of Michigan, teaching undergrad courses at multiple universities, leading a website redesign for The Inter-Cooperative Council, providing front-end development support for an augmented reality application for Jenny Holzer, contributing installation art and motion graphics for the Interdimensional Transmissions, and User Experience Design Consulting at Slalom.
In addition to her solo work she regularly creates Audio-Visual artworks with her 3-piece group, Matilda, founded in 2015. The group has showcased motion graphics, installation art, and A/V performances in the Midwest and Canada.
