Sarah Sparks
Sarah Lina Sparks is a mixed race Filipina playwright based in Southern California. Her works are largely inspired by her Filipino heritage, feminist issues, and the unique experience of growing up in the new millennia. Recent projects include a staged reading of Halo Halo: A Mix Mix of Mythologies directed by Giovanni Ortega in the Nexus Festival hosted by Third Culture Theatre, and a production of her play, The C Word at UCLA. Honors and awards include International Thespian Festival’s Next Generation Playworks winner, honorable mention in the Student Jane Chambers Playwriting Contest, and Third Culture Theatre’s LA Youth Playwright.
