Aminata Diop
I am an interdiscplinary artist and UCLA alumni from the department of World Arts and Cultures and African American Studies. Since the age of 4, I’ve gained an ever growing adoration for the arts and storytelling. I am a vocalist, songwriter,
and lover of nature, music, theatre and filmscapes. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and hope to continue making music, writing, engaging in and creating spaces that make art more accessible as an educational and healing tool.
For the past few years, I have absolutely loved leading arts programming with the UCLA Cultural Affairs Commission and hope to continue learning more about community needs needs in the artistic/cultural realm especially in the diverse city of Los Angeles .
