Jodeen Revere
I am an actor from Boise Idaho. I created a one woman show that I wrote and starred in called The Persistent Guest about my three rounds of breast cancer over the last ten years. I did a fully staged three week run at Boise Contemporary Theater in October of 2022 and it was wildly well received. It is darkly funny, and focuses more on the psychedelic nature of cancer treatment, poorly chosen relationships and personal growth, more than cancer. There is something for everyone!
I am interested in doing a pared down, no set version of the show in a place where no one knows me or my story to see if the show still has the impact and the legs to stand on its own.
The Persistent Guest began as a blog, then was a staged reading and then became a play.
I am currently working with some ideas about a new one woman piece and feel that it would be informative and inspiring to assist in polishing the current play and spark creative thoughts around the unwritten piece.
