Sarah Melnick née Van Sciver (born 1991) is a composer-performer, musician, and artist. She writes, arranges, records, and produces scores, songs, sound, video, and design for concert, opera, film/TV, theatre, and studio album productions. Performing as a vocalist, pianist, harpist, ukulele player, technical director, and conductor/music director, Sarah also proudly teaches and mentors aspiring, emerging, and established artists. Past projects include crafting score, songs, and sound for the film “Strange as Angels;” composing for the opera Shadow House (Philadelphia Opera Collective) and stage productions People That Love Move Mountains and RUBBISH (CalArts New Works Festival) as well as the Magnus Effect and Fifty Days at Iliam (Greenfield Collective); releasing three albums of original songs and film music; and premiering the opera she composed, Girondines, with librettist Kirsten C. Kunkle.
