Tom Burmester
Tom Burmester founded the award-winning Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble where he is in his seventh season as Artistic Director. Since 2008, he has managed the historic Powerhouse Theatre in Santa Monica. Tom is an award-winning playwright, a director, and a producer. Over the last seven years he has produced thirty plays for the Los Angeles theatre community. To pay the bills, Tom serves as the Performance Manger at the Kirk Douglas Theatre where he leads a superior front of house team consisting of 30 part-time employees including the innovative Concierge team which he conceptualized and developed. Tom earned his MFA from the UCLA School of Theatre Film and Television.
