Catalina Piotti

I’m a storyteller, more precisely a bilingual playwright and screenwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina .In my country, I have produced, acted, wrote and directed my own plays for over a decade. In 2017, I came to LA for an 8 week screenwriting course in NYFA (New York Film Academy) and one year later I returned to pursuit my dreams as a writer. Before coming back to California, I published my book “Pompidú” my latest play which I now adapted into a feature film script in English. It is the story of a schizophrenic artist who falls in love with her rebel and charming hallucination. A story about female empowerment, art, madness, healing and transition into adulthood. Last June, I graduated from the UCLA Extension Screenwriting Film and TV Comprehensive Program. I’m currently working on several projects including the development of my TV Series “Hope, Insomnia & Empanadas” which is a comedy about an Argentinean writer who comes to LA and faces huge and many disillusions.
