Mary Guillermin
I am new to the world of solo shows and am a student of Jessica Lynn Johnson who is the director and developer of my show premiering at Solofest in March 2020. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist but mostly earn my living through Airbnb-ing part of my house and offering film shoots on my two acres in the heart of Topanga. I am the widow of John Guillermin, director of Towering Inferno and Death on the Nile, among many other films. He “appears” in my show. My one woman show covers my recovery journey to health from manic-depression without any use of pharmaceutical drugs, my teenage #MeToo story and participation in the heady early days of Gay Liberation and the Women’s Movement in the early ’70s as well as my Feminine-Feminist story of finding God as Goddess. I am a collage artist and my work appears in my solo show.
