Chaz Hodges
My name is Chaz Hodges and I was born and raised in the projects of Chicago’s infamous south-side. Being from an inner city, I did not imagine myself in the things that I consumed. I imagined only what I could do to get out. After receiving my Master’s of Fine Arts from University of California at San Diego, I realized how shallow my pool of thought had been. Now that I am older and perhaps more seasoned, I crave to construct multi-faceted art. Although I am from a somewhat bleak upbringing, I have always contained a vibrancy that has not been able to receive its full potential in popular mediums. I attended private University in Southern California at California Lutheran for undergrad. The city of Thousand Oaks honed my intellect with its small class sizes and gave me a diversification of thought. I received a double bachelor’s in Mass Communications and Theatre Arts with three emphasis in Media Production, Journalism, and Musical Theatre. There is no separation of intellect and creativity in my world, and I have become very adept at both. I love all things made with honesty. This is where my work always begins.
