Oscar Wilson

Oscar is excited to make his Hollywood Fringe debut and honored to have the chance to tell a story from home in his new home. Oscar was born in Wellington, New Zealand to actor parents Michael Wilson and Joanne Simpson.

Raised on comedy, theatre, dance, sport, martial arts, kapa haka.

Trained in Sydney, Australia as a commercial dancer at Urban Dance Centre. Performed as back up for artists and shows: Hailee Steinfeld, Ricky Martin, X Factor, Lip Sync Battles and taught hip hop dance across Sydney and Melbourne.

Moved to Auckland, New Zealand to study at The Actors Program of which Sam Neill is a patron/founder. Trained under NZ’s most praised practitioners including, Miranda Harcourt, Sarah Wiseman and John Callen.

Performed with Auckland Theatre Company as Fred in “Once on Chunuk Bair” and as the title role in “Peer Gynt [Recycled]” Other theatre highlights include: Kilroy “Camino Real”, Macbeth “Macbeth”, Gwendolyn “The Importance of Being Earnest”. Appeared on TV ONE’s “When We Go To War” as Kenneth and provided loop voice over for Starz Network’s “Ash Vs Evil Dead”

Booked commercial spots for: Subway, Foxtel, Bell Tea, KFC, The History Channel, Poison Spirits, Cointreau and provided voice over for AA Insurance, NZ Post, Mexicali Fresh, Tararua Protein Hit.

Oscar currently enjoys living in Los Angeles and has studied with Lesly Kahn, Berg Studios, UCB
