The Attic Collective

The Attic Collective had its humble beginnings in 2013 with the creation of a devised performance in a residential attic in downtown Santa Cruz, California. After enjoying a wildly successful run in such an intimate space, a spark was ignited in the group to continue to work collaboratively to bring new theatrical pieces to life. The Attic Collective first appeared at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2015 with ‘Dead Dog’s Bone: A Birthday Play.’ The Attic Collective challenges traditional theatrical conventions, pushing beyond naturalism and creating characters and universes unbound by the rules of reality. The Attic Collective explores weighty material with innocence and curiosity, combining clowning, fantasy, and music with honesty and realism to create our signature blend of joy and vulnerability.
