ADELAIDE FRINGE FESTIVAL EXCHANGE AWARD

We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Through this partnership, we can offer opportunities after HFF26 and continue celebrating the art that connects us globally.

Judges will see as many shows as possible that apply, but will prioritize those that are the best fit for the festival.

Note: this award greatly reduces the cost of the touring opportunity, but some costs will need to be covered by the awarded artist. Please read the guidelines in full prior to submitting to ensure the opportunity is right for you.

Qualifications

Applicants must:
→ Be local to the United States
→ Have a show/crew of 4 people or less
→ Be willing to travel to Adelaide, Australia (and cover the cost of flight and accommodation) in February/March 2027
→ The show must be 60 minutes or less (or can be easily cut down to that run time if awarded)
→ The awarded show would be responsible for transportation and accommodation. This award only covers festival performance cost
→ Awarded show much obtain and cover the cost of necessary Visa’s to travel and work as a performer in AUS. (Hollywood Fringe will help applicant through the process.)

Methodology

The participating festival makes a final decision based on input from a group of adjudicators organized to see all shows that pique the partner festival’s interest and meet all requirements.

Artistic merit, producer readiness, and how the show will fit into the partnering festivals’ full program are all factors in the final selection.

Reward

This year’s award will:
→ Include the Adelaide Fringe Exchange Award recipient from Hollywood Fringe Festival in the 2027 Adelaide Fringe program, including a free registration of up to $395.00 AUS
→ Provide the Adelaide Fringe Exchange Award recipient from Hollywood Fringe Festival a marketing package worth $2,000 AUS (in-kind) to support promotion
→ Provide the Adelaide Fringe Exchange Award recipient from Hollywood Fringe Festival a $3,000 AUS cash prize to support costs to bring their show to Adelaide
→ Adelaide Fringe Exchange Award recipient from Hollywood Fringe Festival keeps 95% of box office (depending on venue agreement) from their Adelaide Fringe season
→ Support the Adelaide Fringe Exchange Award recipient from Hollywood Fringe Festival to find an appropriate venue for their 2027 Adelaide Fringe season
→ Support engagement in the Honey Pot Arts Industry Marketplace program with direct support from the team
→ Eligible for Fringe Fund on top of cash prize; based on artist application
