THE STAGECRAFTS FREEWAY CIRCUIT

Sponsored by The StageCrafts

Description

The StageCrafts was founded by Jenn and Greg Crafts, longtime producers who have been active in the Hollywood Fringe Festival community since its launch in 2010. Since 2017, The StageCrafts has provided venue management and production support for Los Angeles theater artists, creating accessible, artist-focused spaces for live performance. In 2025, Jenn and Greg expanded that mission by launching the Freeway Circuit initiatives designed to create year-round performance opportunities with no up front cost to the artists while giving shows the opportunity to tour to venues outside the Fringe zone throughout LA County.

Qualifications

Shows performing at StageCrafts venues (The Hobgoblin Playhouse, The Madnani Theater, Bad Ladder and The Promenade Playhouse) are eligible.

Methodology

Shows must be proven to be commercially viable, easy to tour (minimal set), and generally good to work with by upholding Fringe’s values of community and teamwork.

Reward

The StageCrafts Freeway Series is an opportunity for artists to bring their shows to a variety of markets within L.A. County. The July Circuit stop on August 1, 2026, is at The Electric Lodge in Venice CA. Recipients of the StageCrafts Freeway Circuit award will receive the opportunity to perform at The Electric Lodge at no cost and will receive a 50% door split of ticket sales. Award laurels and inclusion on all marketing from both StageCrafts and The Electric Lodge is included.
