LAstageNY and Los Angeles Hidden Gems has always believed in bridging the expanse between Los Angeles and New York City. To this end, the New York City Pivot Award provides a professional pipeline from West Coast to East, offering an invitation to one standout solo, self-contained act or cabaret performer to tackle New York City in a residency at the world-famous Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret & Club in the heart of Times Square, under the supervision of Don’t Tell Mama booking agent Tanya Moberly. We are looking for a peer who understands the hustle and electricity of making a New York cabaret debut.
Qualifications
Cabaret, solo or small self-contained acts that are road-ready.

The NYC Pivot Award includes a 3 night run at Don’t Tell Mama, a year-long membership to the Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC), giving the recipient access to the MAC promotional email blast, open mic nights and other performer support, including being eligible for a 2027 MAC Award for “Debut,” and any other applicable awards within the organization’s award categories. The award will also include a professional archival filming of the performance, and dedicated New York City press support to bridge the 3,000-mile gap between the Hollywood Fringe and the heart of Manhattan.
