Spirit and Energy was excellent!
The work highlighted was well-deserved!
The band was great.
The Soho Awards were perfectly executed
What I didn't like
This location was a huge obstacle:
- too little seating
— visibility was compromised for the majority of Audience because of terrible sight lines ( for Theater yet)
— Audio was not great. Band extra loud but Presenters varied in volume ( partly due to mics). Also presenters sped
Up the very ends of their presentations so that the last few words (to keep the event on schedule) were even harder to hear!
Pacing was not great.
— Started the event too late.
— The majority of presenters got lost in their own story (heartfelt to be sure) and the works/winners got lost a bit
In the shuffle. The clearest exception was by the AD of the Soho Playhouse; easy to hear and follow.
— Shorten the mUsic interludes,

My overall impression
Good people, Sincere Intentions & Great Work…but Bad Location, Poor execution of Awards schedule, And Chronic Technical Issues.
