My overall impression
I was truly blown away by the deeply powerful performances and creative choices of Tracers. I felt so deeply connected to these young men and their stories, knowing that they represent something far greater than just the individual experiences of their characters, but authentically capturing the tragedy of the loss of innocence for these people who served in the Vietnam War. I deeply appreciated the skillful balance of comedy and devastating drama throughout the piece. It was so much fun to watch the characters joking with each other without inhibition, and it made the heavier moments of the play all the more devastating. I thought that the casting was excellent and each actor filled their roles with so much nuance and gravitas, avoiding the obvious and cheap stereotypes that their performances easily could have fallen into. I highly recommend this production and I can promise you that it will provide an impactful and captivating experience.
