What I liked

I loved Audrey’s costume, makeup, the dialogue. The performance is smartly written and beautifully performed. The story is so unexpected and I have to admit, I got a little teary. The light design was also great, the production design thoughtful and direction was inventive. Overall, I loved the performance and so happy with the experience.

What I didn't like

I think there might have been some slight hiccups once or twice during the monologue but I appreciated the realness. Nonetheless, the performance was an absolute delight to witness.

My overall impression

Phenomenal performance and amazing experience. Audrey Valcourt’s solo show, VAMPIRE NIGHTCLUB 1983, is fresh, creative, and so piercing. Held in an intimate space at The Broadwater, it really connects with the heart of The Hollywood Fringe Festival. This show is not to be missed! Check it out, it’s lovely.
