What I liked
The best aspect of the show was the text. It had a lot of heart and almost drove me to tears. I also loved Valcourt’s stage presence and their usage of their voice.

My overall impression
Vampire Nightclub, 1983 beautifully captures 80s nightlife while painting bittersweet portraits of “young” vampires wanting to live their lives to the fullest. Audrey Valcourt shares nothing but love for the people who once lived in a decade that shunned the voices of marginalized groups.
